An exciting opportunity to work as a Branch Office Administrator for Cambridgeshire County Branch of UNISON, part of the biggest public sector trade union.

Part Time 17.5 hrs per week over 5 days per week*, UNISON Scale 7 (starting salary £29,778 pro-rata (£14,889 for 17.5hrs).

Closing date is 12 noon on Wednesday 18th August.

The role is based in the Cambridgeshire County Branch Office, currently at 42 Castle Street, Shire Hall, Castle Hill, Cambridge, CB3 0AP. From autumn 2021 the Branch will be relocating to new premises in Alconbury Weald, alongside the relocation of Cambridgeshire County Council to the ‘New Shire Hall’ building.

This role will need someone with a broad set of skills. You will be an excellent communicator, responsible for triaging calls coming into the office and offering initial employment advice. You must have excellent skills in a range of IT packages, to include managing websites and writing reports and newsletters. You will also be responsible for the day to day running of the Branch office, tasks such as processing membership applications and financial matters will also form a large part of your responsibilities.
